USCG Master or OUPV (6-Pack) Captains

The Montauk Catamaran Company is seeking experienced Captains for the 2024 season in Montauk, NY (the Hamptons.) We run private day charters for parties and corporate events in and around Montauk on our flagship 65′ catamaran Mon Tiki Largo, as well as the 40′ original Mon Tiki and 6-pack 26′ Mon Tiki Mini.

This is a public-facing hospitality industry job, so you must be friendly and enthusiastic, comfortable interacting with passengers as well as crew. Being an all around water person is a plus, as many of our trips anchor up for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Our guests are entrusting us with their precious vacation time or one-time special event – we want to deliver experiences they’ll never forget!

Possibility of housing in Montauk for the right person. Very competitive pay + bonus!

  • Requirements:
  • Current USCG Master Captain’s License with Sailing Endorsement for multi-passenger work or USCG OUPV License for 6-pack work.*
  • Current enrollment in a USCG recognized drug-testing consortium
  • Current 1st Aid and AED certification.

*We cannot accept licenses issued by any authority except the United States Coast Guard. This is a legal requirement in the United States.

Deckhands

The Montauk Catamaran Company is seeking experienced deckhands for the 2023 season (May-October) in Montauk, NY (the Hamptons.) We run private day charters for parties and corporate events in and around Montauk on our flagship 65′ catamaran Mon Tiki Largo, as well as the 40′ original Mon Tiki and 6-pack 26′ Mon Tiki Mini.

This is a public-facing hospitality industry job, so you must be friendly and enthusiastic, comfortable interacting with passengers as well as your fellow crew members. Being an all around water person is a plus, as many of our trips anchor up for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Our guests are entrusting us with their precious vacation time or one-time special event – we want to deliver experiences they’ll never forget!

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a USCG recognized drug-testing consortium like APCA (or ability to join and be tested by the time our season starts)
  • Current 1st Aid and AED certification.
