Two Hour Workshops Start in July!
These outings are offered free of charge on Tuesdays throughout the summer, for kids 9-15 years of age (up to 4 children per workshop.) These sailing workshops are hosted by Captain David Ryan, founder of the Montauk Catamaran Company, and builder of the Mon Tiki catamarans.
This isn’t “yachting.” This is hands-on sailing for everybody, taught the way Capt. David learned when he was a boy. This is what Captain David calls “soul-sailing”. It’s touch, feel, intuition, and communion with wind and water. Every Tuesday from 10:30am-12:30pm starting in July. It’s our way to say thank you to Montauk, and to pass on the gift of joyful sailing to the next generation of mariners!
About Mon Tiki Mini
Mon Tiki Mini is our 26’x15’ sloop-rig, hand-built Polynesian catamaran which is perfect for beginning sailors. Mon Tiki Mini is seaworthy enough to make open ocean crossings, but small enough to be unintimidating to new sailors and responsive enough give you instant feedback when you are sailing her well.
