Taking Shape

Maggie cuts a bulkhead notch with a jigsaw.

We met Joe down at the boat-shop today to catch some epoxy work while it was still green and easy to take down with a surform. Catching it while it’s still soft is way way better than waiting till it’s hard enough to grind, because when epoxy is hard enough to grind/sand, it’s really hard! Lots of dust and misery!

Lower bulkheads dry-fitted on both backbones

Of course once we had the backbones cleaned up, we couldn’t resist notching them, standing them up, and dry-fitting the lower bulkheads. (Above is my daughter Maggie cutting a notch.)

Joe, David, Maggie. Proud of our progress!
